The seam where the weather stripping comes together, right in the center is a place that mine has leaked from. I gooped it up, and having had a leaking issue since. Since you can get in the hatch of our cars, you can always close the hatch, get lean into the back, and have a buddy hose down the rear, and see if you can find the leak.

If you have a spoiler, they can leak through the mounting bolts and appear to be the gasket. Mine did that, actually its doing it again with my new hatch. Just take the plastic off to get access to the spoiler nuts, take the nuts looks then apply rtv under them.

On mine there is a seam where the hatch meets the flat deck that has caused leaks because the weatherstrip doesn't get a good seal against the uneven surface.

x2 on mine. It leaked where the glass met the deck.

Sounds stupid, but remove all the trim panels you can back there. Then you crawl in and have someone turn a water hose on the car and see what it does.
