Give me a list of every company you know that make a K-member for a 3rd gen. Opinions on which to go for are welcome, too.

| Thanks! I just want to open up some space under the motor so things fit. |

Really? None of the tube k-members will live on the street?
What happens? Do they crack and break? |

Not good for the street assumes you actually drive it on the street. |

| I would stay away from the sphon's if you are going with tubular a-arms. There have been reports on TGO of the wheel not staying in the factory position. I believe that racecraft has different editions with more bracing. |

| There are a lot of reasons to stay away from Spohn. None of his LS swap parts are well thought out. |

I'm sure they'd live on the street but most are far from strong enough for repeated street abuse (potholes, road turtles, debris, etc). I looked into them awhile ago and there was ONE company that offered a "road race" version with extra bracing in optimal locations but it's been so long I can't remember what fab company it was.

I'm using spohn motor mounts right now and I had no issues. But then again it's hard to mess up a U strap.
Redlava, from everything I've seen on tgo ( ) the spohn a arm issue was resolved and all new arms have proper wheel alignment and have been this way for awhile. |

| The other problem is I need to stay with rubber engine mounts. My LS idles pretty rough and shakes the whole car. The last thing I need is stiffer motor mounts. |

| Are you sure its not idling rough because the factory rubber mounts are shot? LS motors typically don't shake like that unless they're REALLY extreme. |

| Don't really know. I'll pay attention when I pull the motor. The idle is set to 850 RPM even though it is a big cam. The tuner wanted it to have a lumpy sound. I wouldn't mind adding 100 RPM to the idle speed. |

Wow. Mine idles @ ~550rpm. Shows how un-aggressive mine is. |

| Wow, that's a high idle. How big is this cam? |

Still a tiny cam. Shouldn't idle that rough. I idle my solid lifter cam with an old SBC at 750 and it's pretty smooth at 110lsa. With 113 and an LS version, it shouldn't be bad at all. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

LOL.
On a side note. I have never had any problem with Spohn quality, service, or fitment.
TGO imho is not better than a DSM forum anymore.
Find actual people who have installed these pieces and had trouble.
If it's okay for road racing, it's okay for the street. A rumble strip 20times a day on race day, with stiff as hell suspension is as bad as the occasional pot hole I would think. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |
