ok, so the state wide swapmeet, carshow, etc is this coming weekend. Its mostly for old antiques, but you can find about anything here.

I have "810" swirlport heads on my motor. What would be some upgrades.....
The vortecs, but what casting #'s?
Then what are real L98 heads?
Vette aluminums which are "183" correct?

Any other goodies I should keep my eyes open for?
Split 1.5/1.6 roller rockers?
vette valve covers?
16" s10 wheels
New Runners?

Vortecs or L98's would be a good way to go.

If you do vortecs, you'll have to change your intake manifold.

"906" seems to be a pretty popular Vortec casting, with desirable (64cc) combustion chambers and a 170cc intake.

Sure you can. You do it Vette style and run an external stand alone.

Edelbrock makes a vortec base for the camaro TPI intake too. You could then run the intake you have with whatever heads you wanted if you had one of those.

Yea, I know the make the intake and its expensive. But the discussion is about the EGR. Since I'm not sure where/when I move, the state may require smog testing. Doubt the car will pass Laughing , but atleast I give it a try.

Bringing that back to the top with another question.

Why does the vette have the external tube. Do the 113 aluminum heads not have the exhaust passage port?
