Are they a different size, or a different latch style? Chevy used two or three different latches over the years. Plus you had the C&C conversions like mine which have a similer latch, but are a different size.

their both the ones' where you pull the latch and the pin's connect them to the body.. i didn't really look at the size difference, glass wise they work, they just won't latch at all, i heard that you could take them apart and switch those pin things.. but idk if that's true.. and i don't really wanna risk anything

Sound to me that you have different latch styles between the 2 sets. My 89 and 92 are like that, same glass, but different latching mechanisms. I haven't tried, but it seems you can take the hardware from one set and transfer it to the other. I'm holding on to the hardware for a set of hook style latches for Zac (izcain), so apparently it's possible to do a transfer.

I had the lexan in my 89 and they were starting to 'bow' a bit. Sure I told people that it was a feature for helmet clearance like the ACS viper but it bugged me. I took a set of glass ones, swapped the hardware and it works fine. My memory is failing me but i think the pins in the glass one were larger... anyway, you can do it and it isn't real hard. Now the tops are nice and flat and clean looking but with all that added weight I have a hard time getting the car to move.
