What all Do you need?
I was just at the JY today and I found two cars with the console controls, the freshair vents, and the inside box. Both were missing the Engine bay "heat only" box though. Did you want the Dash too with the blockoff vents on the sides?
I may go back Tuesday to the JY and I could pull them for you if you want them. No charge, whatever I pay, you pay. If you're going to be at Dyno, I can give them to you then.
I think we've talked about this before. Last setup I pulled was for my own car. Thought I was going to sell it when I planned on keeping my old 85 Z/28. _________________

Hey Chris.. if you think bout it, and its not too hard.. can you grab the heater core cover for an a/c box? Just the screw on plastic cover inside the car.. mine's cracked and keeps letting one of the air doors jam.

It depends on how far you want to dig. Mine has everythong under the hood removed, and swapped to the delete box, but I kept the controls and dash. I honestly like the side vents and the four-speed control.

Wolf... all you need is an A/C Delete pulley, and a shorter belt, and the diagram for re-routing the new shorter belt.
You don't need to do anything to the heater controls unless you're going for that "stock" look.
Mine still says A/C on it and everything works just fine. I just flip it to vent/ defrost/heater.
Didn't change ANY duct work.
Then of course you need the A/C Delete/non-a/c box.... and the appropriate blower motor. |

If I'm back there on Tuesday Brandon, I'll take a look. Just the cover and not the Heater core itself, right? Is that all you need? _________________

Paul, Tony and a few others have kept the full HVAC setup with just the "heater only" engine bay box. You can keep the 5 prong reistor to keep your 4 setting fan speeds. I think one wire won't do anything on that harness though. I personally went for the full switchover, with the block-off vent dash included. I just want my car to look the part of a "bare optioned" car, plus I could never get the Heater to work with the AC setup on my 84 (partially the reason I did the full switchover, when I didn't fully understand this stuff) turned out later the resistor was bad, after I'd done the switchover in my 86, so I just kept it with the full "heat only" setup.
I always like "bare bones" cars....
more "options" and more "power or luxury" equipment is just more potential for failure, in my humble opinion.
I'm all about "bare bones". _________________

Chris, ya all I need is the cover. I think I broke mine when I put a new core in a few years ago.

well part of the reason i want to do this cahnge over aside from the fact, my ac dont work, with my headers & the AC box, i cant get my hand all the way back in there, is that my heat doesnt work very well, something is messed up i think in the controls, if i move it around, the heat will sometimes turn on, when its supposed to be on & if i hit a bump or such it will stop blowing hot air.

Shawn,
Here's the full list of what I did with the "heat only"
Dasboard with Blockoff plates on the ends
Defrost and Heater ducting.
Interior box with console 'blend' controls and heat control
Engine bay box
Wiring harness with 3 plug resistor
New 3 plug resistor (only needed this cuz the one on there was bad)
You can get the cable controls for the "right air" and "left air" fresh air vents. They would mount directly under the steering column. I chose not to get either one of those controls. The passenger side vent I have about 1/4 open perminately and the driver vent is fully closed. _________________

If it's not blowing, either the motor, resistor, or the harness is probably crapped out. If you're going to do the AC delete, you might as well just get a new motor and box from droptoproc.
