Paul, John? You guys wanna handle this one?

I"m assuming you're going with a mechanical/vaccum controled carb and not a computer controled Q-jet, right?

you'll have to remove your fuel rails, Intake plenum, Injectors..etc.. probably move your EGR or do away with it entirely.. you'll need a different fuel pump (probably) If you change fuel pumps, you'll need a different oil pressure sender unit, you'll need a vaccum modulated or HEI distributor and different coil. Perhaps a different fuel tank sender (not sure about that), different manifold, a TON of wiring to get rid of..That's what I know of.....I'm sure there's more....

My camaro has a holley 4 barrel now and it used to be fuel injected so I'm in the middle of this project myself. It is a tough one because you have to get rid of all your old computer controled whatever, and that is a TON of wires let me tell you. Its going to take me a good weekend with my wiring diagram, a multimeter, lots of electrical tape and, lots of good ol' mechanic juice Very Happy they guy I bought it from started this project and now I get to finish it because the car is a bit tempramental electricly speaking, I wonder if it has to do with all the random wires all over my engine bay Confused Confused yuck

I'd be happy to help, but my swap was just me after the first 2 days (with a little help from the staff in the hobby shop Very Happy ). After the motor was in and sitting on the mounts, I was on my own to install the tranny and make all of the other connections. It was a learning process and I can't say I didn't enjoy it frustrating as it was at times. Smile
