both of mine are in oregon... smart huh.
i am pulling my leaking busted fuel tank out of my 86 this weekend and replacing it with a 91 baffled fuel tank with extra solder around the neck joint. i need the torque specs for the rear end stuff.

Control Arms to Body:
Control Arms to Axle Housing:
Shock Absorbers to Axle Housing:
Sway Bar to Body mount: 14lb/ft right?
Driveline to Yolk: 10Lb/ft right?
Trackbar to Axle Housing:
Trackbar to Body:
Trackbar Brace to Body:
Torque Arm to Rear Axle Housing:

i wrote them all down so you could just copy/paste. Smile thanks in advance.

Service manuals usually have the torque specs at the end of every chapter. Try the very last page of section 4B.

What I want to know, is why in the world do you un-do that many bolts, to do the gas tank.

Shock bolts, axle LCA bolts, panhard, call it day.

all done. started at 10:30, finished at 3:30. 5 hours. the last time it took me almost 10, time before that around 12.

i did not have to bleed the brakes, i dod not have to remove the control arms, i did not ahve to remove the torque arm. i also choose not to reinstall the heat shielding this time. if the GTA does nt need it the v6 does not either.

found out my rear trac bar is bent.. don't know how that happened. and my sway bar bolts were left off due to thread issues. i'll get some and reinstall tomorow.

this means the tank has to come BACK out. i hate life right now. Sad if i were home i would be in my trans am right now leaving a cloud of smake at a green light to remind myself why i do this, but i'm away from my T/A..

You don't need torque specs on anything in our cars exept for main journals and rod journals.

And the torx screws on the dash. Over torque those, and you are in for a bad day.
