Well right after I finished installing my ball joints I took my car for a little test drive. I tried running through the gears but at the top end of first it just hit a wall. And no, not the "TPI wall" it was much worse than that. It almost wouldn't accelerate anymore. The engine sounded kind of funny too when that happened. Then yesterday I was driving my car and the whole time it was stuttering. Almost as if it wasn't getting fuel. About every couple of seconds or so it would stop momentarily and I could feel the car have full power. Now it happens all throughout the RPM range. I think it could possibly be either be a clogged fuel filter or my fuel pump is going out again. I did however just change the pump a year and a half ago and I did the filter at the same time. Unfortunately I don't have a fuel pressure tester at my disposal, so I can't do any real testing. Do you think I'm right or do you have another idea to what it wrong? _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

| Fuel filter is 12 bucks and ten minutes. Change it just to eliminate it. Mine went out after I let the car sit too, and it had less than 5K on it. |

| after you change the fuel filter hook up a fuel pressure tester. if that looks fine pull your dizzy cap. this sounds EXACTLY like what happened to me at cows. my pickup coil had rusted itself to pieces. |

Well I picked up the filter yesterday, installed it today and to my disappointment, that wasn't the problem. So I just started messing around in the engine bay and I hate to say it but I think Red was right, it's the heat. Heat soak that is. I moved all the spark plug wires away from the block and manifolds and presto, Smooth running American V8 again. That's the only thing I can think of unless I have a broken wire and I just moved it back into place, but I don't think so. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S
