				| Had a ton of fun this weekend. Friday hit the track. Made 11 passes. Best of 13.08@109.76. LOTS of 13.2@109 passes. Time for steeper gears and a rear that can handle it! Sick of these 2.2 60ft times.
Had some beverages and went back at it Saturday. With Brandon, Al, and Mike's help we got the Chevette road worthy. Rolled the fenders with the baseball bat. Hit the track with it. First pass was a tractionless 16.1@85. Not bad for a 3ft long shifter, quick from scratch tune, and no traction in first or second on bald tires. 2.5 60ft! LOL But hey that pass alone is a second and a half faster than a thirdgen with the same motor. The 2nd run I broke off my 3rd link on the 1-2 shift. Still ran 16.6 though! Hopefully the running gear is okay. Little re-engineering to do :O)

 Pictures here.

I'll post youtube links as soon as they're done loading.

After racing we fired up the barbie and drank ALOT of tequila. Much fun!

				| Hey look it's me in the first picture! I Saw you make some good runs. That Orange Mustang is the first GT500 we've ever come out. I saw him make a 12.7 pass .
After you left I decided to make a couple of passes. 3 of my best run's ever. Setting my PR at 15.454 at 88mph. Derek and I were going to head over to your place but I had to be somewhere at 10am the next morning. Maybe next time. I had my Prom last night so I was unable to attend Saturday night. how was the turnout at the track?

				| Awesome job Paully. The Chevette is on her way and most impressive all of the work that has gone into it in a short period of time.
Thank you and Brandy for being the most gracious of hosts Saturday night. Was a great, drama-free time. I was quite relaxed lol.

				| Nice Paul. You owned that volvo!
Wish I could have been there in person, as much fun as the play by play over MSN was, I would have much rather been racing and partying with you guys!

				| Lotta cars blew up. MR 2 blew the engine to pieces at the line, vette blew a rear end out and went about 4 feet... a 3rd gen went up in a mushroom cloud after it's run... it looked cobbled together from a distance but close up, this guy is clearly trying to get a car together. (He had very wide tires sticking out so far that he had to take them off to trailer his rig... they wouldn't fit.)
The pad seems much, much stickier, and times seemed to be noticeably higher this year then last.

Good to see some crewbies there. Hopefully, I'll have mine out there reasonably soon.

				| The Chevette's first run was actually better than my bone stock 305 TBI and first gear was my only tractionless gear. That's going to be a quick car if it gets hooked up

A couple of other noteworthy 3rd gens on Saturday night...

				| that B4C is owned by an ex cop, hence the X911 numbers. and D665, last time I talked to him he said he was shootin' for 9's. Do you remember what he ran? Wish I could have been there Saturday night. Although from the sound of it, I'm glad I didn't have to work. _________________

if I ever want to run 315's in the back on my SS, that's about how I'm going to do it...

guy's at a paintless dent removal shop said they'd roll them similar to how they remove dents for about $150 though, so I could go that route too... haha
