I think the KYB is the best bang for the buck. I've been running mine for going on 6 years in the front.
If you're going to road race or something... I'd go with the Koni's.
I doubt your average driver could really tell a difference. |

I have been running KYB's since I got my GTA. I think that she handles pretty good. I am looking to upgrade to Koni sports at this point but for the money I don't think you can go wrong.
Enjoy!

i have them on all 4's. they were on the car when i bought it so i dont know how many miles are on them, but there great. i work at an auto parts store and i always recommend KYB's because they aren't much more than cheapies like gabriel's or monroe's. and there 10 times better. _________________

KYBs are a fair improvement over stockers in good condition.
It's not really a stiffness thing. More of a control thing. Stiffness is in sway bar and spring. |

How low do you want to go? The Eibach Sportlines are my fave.... execpt I'm poor and cut my springs. Cutting worked fantastic in the front. Still a little squishy in the back... but might be the drag shocks. |

Agreed. I noticed a big difference in my 89 RS when I installed Brandon's (chevymad) WS6 springs and larger sway bars. It was a bigger difference than the prior install of gas adjustable socks & struts. _________________ 92 Camaro

| Huge difference going from monroe's to kyb. I used Hotchkis springs to lower mine. Dropped it quite a bit. I do like them though. |

Know what you mean. My car rides similar to Chevymad's with the Hotchkis and Schultzy with the Sportlines.
To get our cars to do the ricer thing you'd have to cut a huge amount and make it virtually ride on the bumpstops. |

Don't cut springs you buy. If you're going to cut, cut springs you have.
The sportline would be a little stiffer. It has the steeper drop.
The eibachs are progressive springs. So the more the spring compresses the spring rate increases more than a regular spring. |

You know....
Was thinking about this and discussing ride height/handling last night with a friend of mine for my car. He also reccomended the KYB's and dropping the ride height of my car about 2-3".

I have KYB-GR2's on both my cars. Little on the stiff side, but I dont mind.
I dont .. think... you could lower an fbody 3" and still drive it. Mine is around 2 and drag quite a bit. |

| i will say if you JUST replace the shocks, you may not notice a difference. i put KYBs on and my car does not really feel any different. i need new springs though, mine are sagged. |
