Quasi, Dewey, and myself went to Badbob's Saturday and yanked the heart of an '89 maro.

The 4 of us pulled the engine, trans, pedals, throttle/speedo cables, wiper motor, frame mounts, fuel lines to the tank, engine wiring harness, and ecm in 3 hours.

It was amazing! Much fun too! Was a gorgeous day to do such things!

Lots to do on the engine bay and motor yet but I couldn't wait. I had to set her inside and see!

Finished wire wheeling tonight. Gave it a wash down and the first coat of rattle can. Atleast it doesn't look like a complete rust bucket now!

In the day time I'll be able to hit the crevises some more. Going to get some rust converting paint for the spots under the dash and such that I couldn't really get the wire wheel too.

Can't wait to see it in the day.

uh i did, and yes. i'll make a new post as not to hijack pauls chevette thread.

i can't wait to get back in this car turning wrenches. it is so refreshing working on a real hardcore project. i am always doing little things to may car. there is always the goal of getting it done quickly. but with the chevette it is a big project and that is fun, you work on it until you are tired of working on it and resume later, it's not 'we need to get this tranny back in by tomorow" it's "we have until 10PM to get done what we get done". it makes for a compleatly different work environment.
