My Suspension Technique springs are too large diameter to fit in the spring pocket of my new BMR A-arms so I'm on the hunt for a good front spring. What's all the rage now in front springs? Mine are 20 years old so it's been a while since I shopped.
I have the PA Racing coil over setup I bought many years ago but I'm too nervous to use it. Seems like a good way to blow out the strut tower. And I don't think it will clear my larger front tires. |

| That is the setup that I run. If you do it, only get the front perches from them, get the rear all-star setup. The thing is, you wont really adjust them once you get them set right. You will want to cross-weight the car and set your basic corner weights, and leave it. Otherwise you will basiclly induce what them nascar boys call "wedge" and the car will favor turning one way vs the other due to the different spring loadings. |

Can you give me a link to the Allstar rear springs? I went to their website and couldn't find any springs.
What do you think is the ID of the cup on upper mount up front? I have a BMR K-member now and it just has a cylinder that fits on the inside of the spring coil. There is no outer wall any more like on the stock K-member. |

You will get the rear springs from Eibach, or whoever. Allstar makes the rear spring perch, but unlike the G-C rear that uses a pigtail type spring, the allstar uses a generic 5" racing spring. Its not that the G-C rear is bad, you just have a lot more spring options down the road with the 5" springs. But, it also isn't like you change springs every day, I was happy with the spring rates I got, and haven't done anything really after I installed and got the ride height where I wanted. (I need to corner-weight my car....i keep saying I am going to do that)
The upper plates cup from g-c, IIRC (granted I cant look at them), are about the same is the ID of the 5" spring, so maybe between 4"-4 1/2".
Here are a couple of pictures I took of my G-C stuff before I installed them.
