well...im going to be forced to purchase another vehicle when i get home for MPG purposes. the ram isnt cutting it for gas mileage by any means, not too mention the slew of problems ive had with it lately... so anyways here are my choices....

Neon SRT-4...for those not in the know...these are the turbocharged neons rated 250hp, high 13s,low 14s bone stock, easy as hell to run 12s.

00 T/A m6,its a relatives car, there selling because they have a kid on the way,so i have the option to take over payments when i get home.

or quite possibly a 87+ t/a or formy 350,or 305 tpi/5spd,but if i were to purchase one of those,it would have to be a super low miles pristine condition car,and im not too keen on spending that kind of money on one.

or give me some ideas...i need something that at least gets 20+ mpg and has a good amount of horsepower{something i can mess around with while i drive it}

also have been debating a supercharged grand prix or bonneville in the late 90s,or early 00 range.

another option im considering is a 99-04 GT 5spd or a 87-93 5.0,there so readily availble and so cheap...it almost makes sense...that and my girlfriend has an 04 yellow gt 5spd Very Happy

another thing im having to consider is having full coverage INS at my age sucks!

the neon is the cheapest to insure...probably because they know if i wreck it...im dead. 104 a month full coverage on the neon,170 a month for the T/A,and 130 a month for a GP or bonny, about the same for a 99-04 gt as well.

all year round... get a WRX. Those things are fun to drive, supercharge or turbo charge one if you feel the urge to tinker with it. They get good MPG, they're fast, have 4 doors IIRC, and AWD so you can use it even in the mountains Smile Sounds like a nice beater to me atleast.

Only problem with the WRX is the tranny, they have a knack at throwing 2nd gear out the side of the case Shocked

Of course the STI tranny...thats bullet proof. Wink

The subarus are tempting...if the audi doesn't run well after going back together, it will get traded in on a scoobie.

hey im a big fat guy too & I ride a motorcycle, but i do agree riding one in the winter aint no fun, but over on your side of the mountains there aint no snow, you wussies

if your wanting MPG, stay away from the ta's then & the my g/f has a 96 bonny, it aint to bad a car, the gran prix's are more sporty looking thou & use the same or close power plant

If you're looking at the stangs, the 87-93 get better mileage than the newer ones. (Its a weight thing).

I would image so, i bet the 5.0 LX's do better, and are faster than the GT also.

Same motor...less bloat.

Then you to can go thru this....

Only kidding, actualy I really like the quattro, its a blast to drive.

I would suggest and turbo audi if you get one, the only downfall to the 90 is the lack of power....

now a turbo swap in a 90
