i had to take the wideband out, but i powered it using the accessory wire off the ignition, i had this problem for about a week or so now, its happened like 4 times, and it happened before the wideband was put in

Have you cleaned your sockets (including the 3rd brake light contacts) and tried swapping out bulbs?

no i havent, bulbs are still the same ones as when i got the car 3 years ago Laughing

would having dirty contacts on the brake lights cause them to blow the fuse when i turn on the hazards?

i didnt know they were connected

That's a good question. I don't have a schematic in front of me but the light issues seem to be fixed by cleaning sockets and making sure the right bulbs are in there.

If it doesn't do it with just turn signals its related to the hazard wiring. Take out the fuse and trace the short to ground.

If you take a volt meter and put it on the load side, not the power in to the fuse..... and the other lead to ground.... you'll have continuity if there is a short. There should be some as the bulbs are grounded. So what you'd want to do, is start unplugging harnesses and or bulbs so isolate harnesses.
