I'm pulling the seats from my Firebird in March. The plastic back on the driver seat was slighty damaged during shipping and it has bothered me ever since (minor scuffing and the release finger handle was crushed). I just bought a clone set but in perfect condition. Hopefully I won't be cursed with shipping damage again!
The old seats are in really good condition compared to what you usually see. I'm just extremely particular about my Firebird and want a perfect set. I've connected the seats to battery and everything works.
I appreciate any leads if you know somebody looking. I will take better pictures once I have them out of the car next month.

I'm interested. How much you want for them and how much will shipping cost? _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

It will be somewhere between $450-$500 plus shipping. I need to wait for the new seats to arrive before setting price because I need to take inventory of what I have and take pictures of all the wear & defects. For example, if the wiring and air lines don't come with the new seats then I need to keep the one I have. I'm also going to mix and match and keep the best stuff for myself, unless the dye lots are different color. The remaining set will still be pretty nice. Heck, I paid more than that for both my sets so any way I mix and match it's still a good deal. I notice that T/A seats like this with the air bladders are the most expensive.
So.... I need to work on that whole shipping thing. I honestly don't know the best approach to shipping items this large. What is the best form of shipping and who should I use? DHL are the numb nuts who damaged the seats in the first place.
The guy I bought seats from just ordered his new aftermarket seats. He is planning to put my seats in those boxes. I am thinking I put my current seats in those boxes, put the boxes side-by-side on a pallet, place the rear seat back on top of the boxes, and then strap the whole thing in place with clear packing wrap. Anybody have a better idea? |

| My new (to me) seats will arrive in about a week or so. There is still about 4 feet of snow at the end of my driveway so it may be a bit before I can pull the old set. Hoping for some snow melting weather but it's been cold for about 2 months. At least it hasn't been -20F like the last two years. |
