So the dodge intrepid Ive been working on for 3 months started and ran yesterday. Drove it to the parts store to return a battery.

Has a studder in it, which would be fouled out spark plugs already as I had put alot of kerosen in the cyls to help it free up. Or I think one of the plastic lines has a vac leak. Going to work on that today.

So glad to see the light at the end of the tunel on this project.!!

yep, 180 deg off from each other. There are 2 notches on the tc shaft, and they have to align up inside the tranny to drive the pump.

Drove it around town last night, and into work today. Seems to be getting around 17/18 mpg in town which is on-par with what the specs are for it.

I had no clue. I just looked it up and see its roughly 3425 lbs.

Looks like my gtp weights about the same, and sure feels hell alot more powerful, at about same mpg.

I'm sure the baby Eaton on it has nothing to do with that. Wink

Actually this Trep is rated at 250hp.

The GTP with the Eaton is rated at 240hp. Ive done a few things to it, but not enough to make it feel as more powerful that it is IMO.

HP rating has nothing to do with it. The L67 puts down an incredible torque curve for a factory FWD V6 (280-ish ft. lbs.). The Mopar can't hold a candle to it.

I think its actually mitsubishi? Laughing However, the pistons do stick up past the top of the block when in TDC

But yea, that is alot more tq then this motor is rated at.

Yea, some parts say Mitsu on it, some have mopar sign.

Ive ended up finding several leaks driving it. This is the first day I havent drove it somewhere since I got it started. I did the oil pan gasket as the way I understood in the manual and per what looked like came out. Ive got to redo it and do the way I want, cause its leaking.

Plus I got the vibration at lights as mentioned in the one post. Will take a look at that when I'm under it.
