Just ran into this. It's the only surviving 1954 Olds F88 concept car. Was built to compete with the corvette. Vette at that time had a 6 cylinder with a 2spd auto. This thing had an olds v/8 with 250hp and a 4spd auto. Looks like the t-bird.. before there was a t-bird.

There was a Pontiac one as well. It was badass!!!
EDIT: Found it! The 1954 Pontiac Bonneville Special:

Another pic of the pontiac.. the spare makes it look like its jet powered. Buick also made a version.. its just.. umm. ugly.

There was a couple station wagon corvette concepts done in the late 70s I know.
All of these concepts were before the corvette came into being though. They basically were checking to see who would come up with the best concept. |
