Did you just want to know who here has a 383, or is there another part to the question?

@ zer0: Heh, you just gotta learn to read Davidson. It's an acquired skill.

@ Corey: Unless you already have a 4" sbc block and the stroker kit crank, or your course teacher only knows how to build one type of engine, why not start looking for a beat LS? The cost of machining shouldn't be too different, and you'd blow your brother's 327 out of the water. Wink

Find somebody parting out a Chebbie Express van, or an old Sierra or something. Tell them you'll take the longblock for core price. Should have an aluminum 5.3L or an iron 6.0L. Just don't buy an iron 5.3... that would be silly. Pokey pokey

Take that into your class, tell them it's a smallblock.

LMAO!!!!!!!

Ian's 5.3 at dyno was right there with my well built 350.

Starting from scratch a 6.0 LS is a no brainer.

I'm with stupid

Get the MSD setup to run the coilpacks (or just get the kit to convert it to a Ford dizzy), then get a squarebore intake and a good Holley on it. Problem solved.

BTW, you're going to a class to learn how to work on cars, but you don't want to learn how to work with fuel injection? Tappy tap tap
