No mention of a swap, so it's a 305.

Still decent deal maybe. If I had spare cash I'd go scope it out but I'm saving for a move.

Looking for more money and some actual benefits. Took an underpaying job to get my foot in the door for my career a couple years ago and it's time to switch things up.

Or maybe he swapped the 5-speed in. Getting more common by the day.

I've come to realize that non-car types will always tell you they have a 350 whether out of ignorance or thinking no one will know the difference. Rolling Eyes

Man, honestly, I should just buy a damn flatbed trailer. I wouldn't have to rent one to move cars, and I could buy junk like that to flip.

There's a black '87 Camaro, and a couple of flatbeds on CL currently. Both around $1200. That would about clean out the f***-you fund though... No no no...

I sold my trailer, no place to put it. When I got the bird with the 9" in it I rented a uhaul trailer to get it home. Cost me $57.

You can get more $$$ for stuff later, if this is as good as it looks it would be very hard to pass up.

Remember, you only live once, what I've went and am going through has taught me that. I'd say go for it. It I had any way of coming up with $700 I'd be on my way to look at it now and not be here typing this.

Hehehe, U-Haul claims a max wheelbase of 133" for their largest car trailer. No problem for your bird, but little bit more of an issue for the Monterey. Wheelbase is around 145", overall is 221". Doh!

I couldn't get my Firebird on a U-haul trailer. The wider tires just didn't fit between the rails.

I eventually bought a high quality 18-foot dovetail with D-rings, post stakes, and I had them custom build a winch pad. The winch pad is invaluable, because how often to you tow a car that runs? Laughing If you get a trailer then don't skimp on the cost. Your life is in your hands when you tow at highway speeds. My trailer runs straight and true and has a brakes at each wheel.

My friend bought a low budget 16 foot trailer and has regretted it ever since. He is too scared to use it for anything other than around town. Last time I borrowed his tractor I had to go get it with my trailer because he didn't want to load it on his trailer.... which he bought just for that purpose.
