I can sleep on the way to and from work (when I'm not driving the van).

Use of HOV lanes during commute and pass by the congestion

Best of all, vanpools get priority loading on the ferry, and are second behind motorcycles, this means that I miss all of this fun - I took these pictures between 4:00 and 4:15 on the way home today...

From this sign, it is 2 miles to the ferry, the cars in the right lane are in line and stopped - all waiting to board the ferry. This is more than 2 hours.

More of the same

Now they are double file waiting to enter the holding area, just past the light ahead - holding area holds about one boat of traffic and is 5 lanes wide. My vanpool drives right on past all of this and right to the pier Cool

Shocked Shocked wow big PICS lol

ya those ferry lines can get pretty insane. every so often i get to be one the people standing out side the best western down there by the ferry waving a sign around like an idiot lol. and from standing out there all day its pretty crazy to see such a big line form in 5 minutes when its was completely dead a few minutes earlier

OOPS Embarassed Thought I had resized them prior to posting. Should be fixed now.

The Friday of a holiday weekend is always crazy like that at the ferry. It's really nice in the vanpool to go right to the front and catch the sailing in your schedule Cool

Yes, Ctrl+F5 seemed to solve that problem. Yup yup

I believe I have discovered the trick to commuting easily.

Step one: Buy a big diesel 4x4.
Step two: Get a job that's five miles from your house.
Step three: Get to work in a couple minutes.
Step four: Profit!!!
