Awww, lame dude.

Dad had the same thing happen to his Corvette a couple years ago, but they didn't break the window and they cut every wire inside the dash that they could reach in addition to jacking the stereo.

Cuz yo dawg ya kno you just gotta cross the right two wires and jack that whip. Rolling Eyes

Judging by the clutch lockout switch hanging down under the dash, these jackasses had similar plans.

Na, that was my doing, I was working on the clutch earlier that night. I'm just glad it was some meth or crack-head trying to get the stereo for money and nothing else was vandalized.

Suprised it happened though it's parked in a well lit area overlooked by many apartments and private security rolls through, oh well I bet they were all in on it.

Sucks man.

Especially since there really isn't a market for aftermarket stereos like when CD players first came out.

Sucks man. I know how it feels. That's how I ended up with most of the system I have. Insurance paid for everything that was either bolted down or electrically connected, all I need to do was scrounge up receipts for proof along with pictures of where they were.

dam man that sucks. i u used to live in south everett and this happened to friends and neighbors often. and this is also what makes me super paranoid when ever i go to my sisters apartment where at least one car is broken into or stole a week. but with my stock cassette player and the fact that i dont leave anything in my car im more worried that some one will try to take the whole car.

At least I was able to get the window replaced and make it to Portland the same day. I had a hotel reserved and would have hated to have had to cancel it. I had to argue with the guy installing it about how to install it. Kept complaining about "bad design". He also refused to look at my factory service manual for nearly an hour before I just read it out loud to him and about 20-30 minutes later it was all done. Considering this trip was the first one on the new engine it was a nice drive, although very quiet without a stereo.

I couldn't really hear the engine that much even with the Magnaflows because with my current (terrible in my opinion) gearing situation the car turns like 1600 rpm cruising on the freeway and is real quiet about it. I did a few times run it in 4th gear and bring the rpm up to about 2,200-2,300 for good measure.
