Hey guys, saw a link over on thirdgen.org for this place and wanted to check it out. My fiance and I just moved here from Arizona, I just picked up an 86 Trans Am over the weekend. It's my 4th 3rd gen and 6th overall fbody (78TA/98Formy are the others).
My first was an 86 Z28 that my dad and I built a nice little 355 for while I was in high school..Unfortunately it was wrecked otherwise I might still have it! Next was a 1990 IROC L98, followed by a built 89 RS.
The 86 Trans Am, I picked up for $900..It's not fun to look at (yet) but it runs great and drives great. For $900 it came with almost brand new TT2s and Tires, so thats cool. I was actually looking for a cheap truck for the winter, but I saw the ad on craigslist and one thing led to another, I'm a sucker for these things.
Here's some pictures of my past and now present 3rd gens.
The 86 Z28:
The 89 RS:
And the new TA (Ugliest of them all lol)
(Can't find a picture of the 90 IROC)
Ok, anyways..Hopefully I'll get to know some fellow 3rd genners up here. Going to need misc parts here and there for the TA so any suggestions for good junkyards or the like is appreciated. |

Welcome!
And of course the bird is the best. However, it might need a color change. _________________

That's a nice Bird for $900. I like the 89 RS also, I have a somewhat resto and rebuild going on with mine - new upholstery kit in the mail now _________________ 92 Camaro

Hellz no. Black > Crunched up red
Like the TA. Needs a little attention on the fender there, and some lowering springs. Looks like a good start tho. |

Looks like you've had some nice third gens. Be sweet to see what direction you take with the T/A. _________________
