You find the strangest things parked at a racing engine builders shop.

As nice as this is, my taste runs to the supercharged Avanti in the shop. They built some special plates and adapted a single plane SBC intake to it. Call me crazy or old school, but I'll take ingenuity over buying something off the show room floor every time. I'd almost be afraid to touch the GT for fear it would lose value.
But I did like the brakes on the GT _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

That was sick! The 60-160 MPH is insane. Pulling that fast after 120 is ... just.... I need a towel

I saw a test drive of the Tesla Roadster on the news tonight. 0-60 in 3.9 seconds from an electric motor!!! 100% torque 100% of the time, 300lb/ft from 0-5000 shaft rpm and equivalent to about 400hp. And Seattle has a showroom.

I know the feeling. Fairlanes were the same way. Trying to stop one of those from 115mph is intresting. That's how I first learned about "brake fade". _________________

Here is a pic of the modified intake setup on the stude. I took pics of the 12" front and rear DISK brakes on it for those here with brake envy, but the pics didn't turn out for some reason.
Yeah.............some of us have a thing for brakes I guess. I like to know I can get out of trouble as fast as I got into it
Oh..........almost forgot................found out the guy with the GT's other car is a twin turbo Saleen tube frame sports car.

We had a large group of Tesla Roadsters at PIR during the summer. Apparently they set the world record in the 1/4 mile for one of those things at our track. It ran a 12.643 @ 102.89mph. They're interesting. However, the interior in those things looks disgustingly cheap. Makes the interior of my dads '90 Accord feel like a Mercedes.
