Well, I just joined the site, thought I'd give a "hello" and tell a little about myself and my car.
My name is Bobby, I'm 19 and I live in Tigard, Oregon. I work at Build-a-Bear at the Washington Square mall and go to Portland Community College at the Rock Creek campus for auto collision refinishing (for now).
My car is a 1986 Camaro Berlinetta. Its rather fugly between the paint scheme, no gfx, and chipping paint, but I love it anyways . The Berlinetta was originally the LG4 (305 Carb'd), well my uncle decided to work on it, and long story short -- I've got 3 spun bearings a month later. So I'm trying to get a new engine for it... after that I hope to meet some of you guys, cruise nights sound fun |

Welcome aboard! I'm also attending a local community college, although I work at Baskin Robbins.
Have any pictures of the ride? Nothing's better than loving your car no matter what it looks like. What's the plan for a new engine? _________________

Your uncle wouldn't happen to be Mark Barnes would it?
Welcome to the crew :insert real name here:!
Lots of guys here your age or a bit older. I am one of the 'much older' types... I think my oldest boy and you are going to the same school (diff studies though). Watch the boards for local gatherings - that is when you really get to know the crewbies. Been thinking that we should probably get a holiday dinner together pretty soon. hmmmm...

haha no that isnt his name...
my plans for a new engine is a 350 short block, port job on the LG4 heads and intake , and I've got some SLP headers to put on there. Carb'd of course... but I was also looking around through the wanted ads and noticed someone had 3 L69 long blocks that they needed to get rid of to make room, PMed him hoping I can get up on that, would be a nice motor to get me by till I get the money for a 350 without having to eat McDonalds every day.. then I can put the L69 in a early 80's 2nd gen camaro rolling chassis for my brother for his high school graduation present.
I'm planning on getting some 91-92gfx, and painting the car (myself) a black with a obvious blue hue.
Holiday dinner eh? Here-here for McDonalds
Thanks for the welcome greeting |

forgot to post a link to the pictures... I took all these when I got the car (was originally a Washington car, has Oregon plates now, I promise )
http://www.imagestation.com/album/index.html?id=4286102063
I took them all to outline the problems that I had cosmetically with the car... some of them are "hey that's a cool angle" shots though like one from the rear quarter panel. Also one of my interior... which I've got out right now so I can put in my 2002 firebird interior.. |

Dude, if you're eating strictly McDonalds you've got a fat wallet. Save money and go to the grocery story for frozen pizzas, top ramen, etc
I don't have an image station account so I can't see those. Plans sound good though! _________________

well, if you like the dash THAT MUCH I could sell it to yah . I've got 4th gen interior sitting waiting for me to have a nice day off to put it in. Interior is pretty mint. Matter of fact, 20 dollars and everything is yours... dash, dash pad (damn near mint), swivel radio pod, center console, all the under dash trim stuff... the screws even! Just want it out of the garage. lol |

Looks like you got a nice project there, and your plans for a "blue hue" will probably win over some friends here
