very nice. they'd look Schaweet, if you polished the outer ring and flat edges bright!

I started to polish them, then decided it was too much work for a winter only wheel. I was more concerned with removing the red paint. Just like anything else, progressively finer sandpaper over the roughest looking part, then when it gets smooth, it'll start to shine. Then you can use a good metal polish to remove the fine scratches and finish it up.

IIRC, I started with 400 and went finer from there to about 1500 or 2000. But I didn't finish either, I decided painting was a better way to go for the upkeep of a winter wheel.
