Those of you who have been to Cows know of my 454 stepside project. Well I ended up selling it last week. Need money more then a project, and the 2nd gen has my attention at the moment. The guy who bought it, bought only the completed chassis then had Paul and I take the body off of his nice 4x4 and put it on this lowrider. He just didnt like or use the 4x4 that much. Anyway, thought there might be some interest in a few pics of the project.

Here's me cleaning the damn dust and bird crap off with the pressure washer. Cab has allready been removed and is sitting behind the chassis.

This is where we've taken the bed off the 4x4 and are getting ready to lower it down on the lowrider.

Things look a little strange with a motor and bed, but no cab or front sheetmetal.

Front clip awaiting its turn.

The cab is on!

Clip is on

Complete!

It took Paul and I a day and a half to get everything swapped then we were driving. I had some small things to correct over the rest of the week. Mostly stuff that broke going together. lol Ron picked it up friday and had the tailpipes moved so that they go straight out the rear now. Amazingly the thing drives and rides perfect! with nothing more then an eyeball alignment. As Paul and I were test driving it the driveline started rubbing the frame. The truck was settling down more and it started hitting the crossmember. A torch fixed that. So far the truck has settled another inch, maybe inch and a half from these pics.

That thing looks sweet. I bet he's stoked to get it.

Did anybody get a picture from the last Cows after the burnout in that truck when Brandon was checking the oil while standing through the windshield?

That turned out pretty damn nice. Sorry to see you have to sell it, but at least the 2nd gen can get a little more attention.

That's too bad about the truck B, but one can only have so many projects at a time...

That guy got a real stout 454 though..
