How did they get a copy of his waiver? Unless the insurance company said he put in a claim and they needed the waiver to clear the track of liability, I don't see how they could have gotten it. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

they see it as a liability... if he's racing legally whats going to stop him from racing illegally? Unfortunately all the kiddies in their imports have really screwed up insurance for everyone else.
insurance companies have been dropping a lot of SCCA folk as well...
and signing a waivier at most events just means that the track/facility/group insurance isn't going to cover you, has nothing to do with regular car insurance, thats your own ass and your own insurance for any damage done ...
it's understandable from their point of view, if the person takes it to claims court they might have to pay, and even then they can drag it out for years just so they don't have to pay up. and by the time anything does happen, the statute of limitations kicks in and they by law don't have to pay anything if its prolonged enough. (and all it does is cost twice as much for the person trying to get money, with loss of money plus attorney fee's, etc) _________________
