Ok you pervs, not that. And not the song either

With the other thread talking about ride heights, I figure we should throw up some solid specs. Due to different rims, tires, etc. Measure from the center of the wheel, to the bottom of the fender lip. Front and rear.

I think it would be a little more accurate to measure from the ground to the center of the fender lip. That's how most people measure it anyway. Anyway I just took that measurement two days ago and are as follows

EDIT:

stupid me, I took the wrong measurement. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

As for suspension compressed, center of wheel to fender lip.

If you measure from the ground, it even has to adjust for tire pressure. |

Gotta measure from the center of the wheel up to see the actual drop. Because everyone's tires are different and squish down. This measures just the suspension drop. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

I was going to measure as a joke because the car is on stands but I'll be putting it on the ground this weekend so I'll measure then. _________________

Ask and you shall receive.

Front: 13 3/8

Rear: 12 15/16 (it was just a smidge under 13, you could probably call it 13 even if you wanted) _________________

I would bet that you are as low as me in the front, if not lower. But you have more rake, so I bet the rear of my car is lower. |

Nah, I just lost some weight in the front so it'll be higher until I retrim the front springs. I'd love to be able to get the rear lower... _________________

hmmm. When I talked to Ground Control on the phone they said my front springs were 8" free height and my rears would be 10." I wonder if that's gonna cause a problem when I try and lower it. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

How low are you planning to go? I think I have at least an 1" of downward adjustment left in mine, you should be fine with a 10" spring unless you plan to really slam it down.

My car is as low as I would be willing to go, also remeber I run slightly larger tires. If we did a ground-to-fender measurement, I would be more in line with the 2"-2.5" drop guys, even though the actual drop is 3"+ on my car. If you run tires that are stock height or shorter, with the drop I have, you would have trouble getting in and out of of stuff. |

The tires I'm running on my SS wheels are 285/40/17. That would be a 25.98" tire. Virtually the same size as your tires. I realistically will probably end up with about the same ride height that you're at. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

I know it's been a bit but I'll just throw my numbers into the hat. With the way it sits now, (I haven't rolled the car back and forth to settle the front suspension after dropping it off the stands along with the new lighter motor)
