				| Today at work we came across a couple engines that I can have. One is a 010 short block with a rusty chrome oil pan and some big domed pistons. Figure I can take some calipers tomarrow and see if there is a bore left in it. Should be a 350 but could also be a 327. I will have to find the date stamping to tell with out taking it apart.
The second one has me curious, it is a big block with the casting # 3963512 which according to Mortec is

 3963512....427.......69......2 or 4 bolt
 3963512....454.......70-76...2 or 4 bolt

Also found a set of BBC heads that are # 3931063

 3931063....68-69...oval..CLOSED..396, 402, 427, 101cc chamber

Brandon, is this stuff any good? The block has a casting on it that says high performance passanger car.

Also bought a 350 from one of my Dad's friends that we ran into during hunting season. He lives down in California and will bring it up next spring when he is back up here. He says that it run good but was getting due for a rebuild. He bought a crate instead. Said it has fuelie heads which would be cool, I can sell them to pay for more parts. We'll see on the heads, prolly smogger heads but still a good buy for $200.

				| I'd definately pick up the bb.. 427s and 454s use the same block. All pickup and car blocks are marked high perf pass. Just means that its not a truck tall deck block. Which is good. 063 heads are decent if you need more compression. Usually on a 454 though you'd want the 118cc heads or so.. but a guy with a 402 or 396 might really want the closed chamber heads. | |

				| Cool, thats what I needed to know.
Price for the BBC and SBC that I found today is free. Either that or they are getting tossed in the truck bound for the scrappers.

				| Looks like we found a .030 350 and a 427 out of a 69 Impala SS. Found the suffix code on the block. Cool find. | |
