well today i was driving around and the camaro was giving me a couple problems. first off sometime when i accelerate kind of fast the engine almost stalls out and make a hissing sound for half a second then jumps back to life it only did this twice today and once yesterday i cant really think of what it out be maybe a bad injector or clogged fuel filter but any ideas would be great.
this next problem could just me being paranoid and not knowing how the car should feel like . but at slow speeds (1-25mph) it feels almost like it has a flat tire or has something suck in the tire cause it makes thump sound i never really noticed it befor but since iv been driving alot more its starting to worry me i know the suspension dose have a problem cause when ever u crank the wheel all the way to turn it makes a poping sound its had that problem since iv had the car. also i dont really know what it should feel like but when i hit 80+ the car just shake and almost feels like its going to fall apart on me i dont know how normal that is i know that its a old car and is gona have some shakes and rattles but it looks and feels like parts are going to start falling off the dam thing. so ya any ideas on what it could be or if its supposed to be like that would be great and even what aftermarket parts would be good to help it ride better at higher speeds would be good _________________

I had a butter knife stuck sideways into the tread of my tire! You better double check all your rubber. Hissing sounds are caused by vacuum leaks. Idles fine? |

the stumble might be something as simple as a fuel filter. When was the last time you changed that?
The shake, could be an out of balance tire, or all sorts of things. Does the shaking change with RPM, or with speed? |

If not the fuel filter it could be the fuel pump. I had that problem when i first bought my car.
As far as shaking at high speeds, i had that problem too. It could be an out of balance drive shaft, bad universal joints, or out of balance tires. _________________ 1983 Z-28 5.7 LT1, T56, Headman headers, BW 9 Bolt Posi Disc, WS6 suspension
