Rumors about holley and edlebrock as well. Also GM was forced to shut down GM high performance. No more V series cadillacs or SS chevies.

Here is a link for the GM stuff.

I also heard, that Saab declared bankruptcy, it sounded like they did that, so they would be under protection, and then GM would be able to sell them off. GM is in a bad way right now.

What will happen when business picks back up? There has to be some demand for these parts/companies. They could never be gone forever, right?

closed is closed.

Now, someone could likely flash some cash, buy the name/inventory and start over. But likely would not be as good as product as before. If that happens, it would be a major finance mistake. If someone goes to buy it, they need to flash enough cash to get some of the good employees, and bring in some new/other employees that have some knowledge.

This is kinda what happened at my first "professional" job. Company was having problems(vancover), my company bought them out. Relocated the facility(little rock and houston) and didnt offer enough cash to the right employees for them to come down. People here didnt have a clue to the product, prints hadnt been kept up-to-date. The name became known as bad product and the company as a whole closed.

So far it seems all but comp doesn't.

Besides, it's not the levels in the lube that you can compare to the 1200ppm. Because it's an additive you need way more ppm to dilute into the 5+qts of oil in the engine.

Last month, Crane Cams announced that it had shut its doors and told all 280 of its employees not to come back the next day. Shortly afterward, the storied automotive aftermarket parts company indicated that it would reopen after the restructuring process had taken place. That's apparently not the case after all.

LiquiTec Industries has issued a press release stating that it has been contracted to liquidate all of the assets of Crane Cams. The sale will include everything that the company had owned, including all of its unsold products, machinery, raw materials, trademarks and patents. Bids are currently being accepted, after which all of the unsold goods will be put up for auction.

This news comes after speculation that Crane Cams would be purchased by a company called Scorpion Performance. We're not sure what happened to that deal, but we've placed a call with Scorpion in an effort to find out. Press release after the jump.
