New 160GB SIDE 8mb/7200rpm Hard Drive - $70
New HD Cable after computer still won't boot - $6.99
Reformating all drives, and losing all information - $Free

Find out you had the boot priority in the BIOS set wrong -- Priceless

I wouldnt exactly call those words (or emoticons) of sympathy. But I do agree with them Very Happy

Bios is a bitch though , because it takes so long to go through every little thing (for me anyway). I had my refresh rate set at 166mhz instead of 133mhz for some odd reason. Which made the computer turn off after about 15 minutes into usage. It took a solid two hours of staring at that blue and grey screen before it hit me.

Still... better then a mac.

We are still talking about Dewey right? I'd hardly consider hundreds of race videos and movie clips as critical data. Very Happy

Actualy, I cleared the backup too, in my hurry ot fix things. the CRITICAL data is stored online (resume, important docs etc). So I didn't lose that. But now i have to try to find the Audi S1 at Monte Carlo Rally video again. Sad
