| LT1 clutch works back-asswards. Throwout bearing pulls out, rather than pushes in. If you had a one-piece RMS you could run a stock LT1 flywheel, but two-piece is a specialty part. |

| Oh. Crap. That's a lot of money for just a piece of metal. I wanted to have the swap done by the time I get my license in March. But maybe it won't be done if I have to save up for that and a clutch. |

That's kinda weird. At least yours is a Firebird and not a Camaro. Then I would think twilight zone or something. |

Lol no I don't have the transmission in the car yet. My auto is still in it and I need more parts before I will even consider yanking it out. But I was with someone-I do have my permit. But my license I get in March. Like cameron. That is way messed up dude. I'm kinda scared. What day do you get your license? |

| Ok. I get mine the sixth. Hopefully. Never know what could happen. I still have to take driver's ed. The amount they want for it is WAY inflated. $300 bucks for one class. Its stupid. I could but a new flywheel for almost that much lol. I still think thats wayy weird though. |

Ya hopefully I can take it in January or earlier. I have half of the money now. I just have to work 10 more hours. So about a week and I'll have enough. But I'm doin it with my friend so we each get 25 bucks off. I'm gonna get money to do that before I start buying swap stuff. But I still have to get Christmas presents. Frick. |

Welcome to the Crew, Town! These guys are great. Don't mind me--I'm mostly a lurker, but I see what these guys do and do for each other, and they are a cool group. _________________ Vaneat-91RS

| Lol that's pretty much how I am on TGO. I don't really like that site as much as this one. People are much friendlier here it seems. |

Agreed, first response is never "SEARCH" like over on TGO.
But then again, how rude of me
I've followed this thread from the beginning without piping in to say "WELCOME" Even after making the recommendation to you from TGO, I see you're in the process of at least getting answers to many questions. Enjoy!!!

Hey thats alright lol. You told me about this site so I thank you for that. I have gotten answers to most of my questions. I will definitely have more if I ever actually start this freaking swap. I'm getting very very antsy. But I guess I'm gonna have to wait til after Xmas cus I don't know if I'm getting any parts as presents. Wish I did though. At least I could have a head start on ordering. When it comes time to do all the wiring I'll definitely need help. You know anyone that can come up (or down) to help me?
This is the tranny. Can anyone tell me what all the electronic plugins are for? I think I know but I want to be sure. |
