Got my parts together for the Torque arm so I figured it's time to build it.

Got under and started dissassembly.

Well... Found some more bent parts.

Lots of work to do. Going to redesign the crossmember for the Torque Arm Mount. Then fit in the panhard. Then get the driveline. Then make the torque arm. Driveline might have a large shaft so I don't want to make the T/A and discover the DL doesn't fit.

Looks like I might be dynoing the wankel.

Rock on!

Holy crud bubba! I feel your pain. "Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go".... I hate that saying. Has proved to be very true.

Sorry about the carnage.

So what is this wankel that you tease about?

Yup. Made ground beef out of it. Even bent the splines on the yoke.

Nice. Should call Northwest driveline and tell them their shaft failed again. Laughing

I wonder if the driveline damage didn't happen from having some very big mis-alignment in there when the torque arm bent.

Sorry to see that much damage...bigger, faster, stronger.

Driveline happened from racing dude.

Bad angles shouldn't do that.

Plus, when I built the torque arm mount before racing, the driveline had to come out, and it was straight.

The Wankel is the name of the rotary engine in the RX-7s, right?
