We just got a new tech in my shop that's into caprices. Owns a mid 90's land yacht that he swapped an lt1 into. Says he has a spare that he wants to unload for cheap. $300 takes everything. I'm sure it chevy salutes but he said it didn't smoke aside from that. ~100k on it if I remember correctly.

| He says it's fine. I think he was going to swap it into another caprice but decided not to. As far as I know all the wiring is there. I can double check tomorrow though. |

I would love to get my hands on that swap, but I dunno if my income will support all other things I'd need... _________________

What is it out of? Caprices also came with a small displacement (265ci) Gen II engine (L99) that looks identical to an LT1. Look for "5.7L" cast into the block if its an LT1 or "4.3L" if its an L99. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

| It's from a 9c1 cop car caprice, I believe a 94-95 and it's definitely a 5.7. I think he originally had the 4.3 in his caprice and got a package deal on two cop cars. |

So it's OBDI MAF with cast iron heads..
The only thing I'd be worried about is the serp belt set-up from the caprice fitting in a third gen. _________________
