Big crane + beer.
Funny, I have both of those and the big block is still on the stand. |

Picking up the crane Saturday. As for the beer, I think we'll try it sober first and then resort to beer when all else fails! _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Nice. A firebird on jackstands and an engine hoist. Makes me feel right at home!
You guys putting the engine in with the headers on?

We tried to, but the headers kept getting caught up on different things, so we removed them and dropped the engine in. _________________

Damn crane wasn't long enough to clear the 'Bird nose or we could have wiggled it in there! We hit the engine with some high temp silver and the headers with black header paint before we attempted to drop it in (hence the color difference between the first and later pics). I wish we had taken more pics, but our inexperienced asses needed to stay focused! |

Very cool. Is it the first time use with those long tubes?
I think of swaping engines like I think of moving... you always forget things, but you just gotta keep going! _________________
