I began washing and scrubbing the Firebird rear tub today. Everything is done up to the front seats. Starting to smell and look better Head liner is out and will be repaired next week.
Scrubbed down everything with a brush and Simple Green solution. Followed up with wet rags and Simple Green. Sucked everything out with a Shop Vac, or drained through holes in the fenders. Rinsed with hose... Shop Vac... again.... and again. Dried everything with towels. A fan is running for the next couple days.
There are mouse turds under every drain hole in the body. I had to keep clearing the holes from under the car. I even used some of that orange hand cleaner/degreaser in a couple areas. Put a TON of water through the inner rear fenders and the water is running crystal clear now. I'm glad I just washed everything out because it will feel clean when I put the interior back together.
I'm going to order carpet soon and button up the interior. Then drop the fuel tank and get a fuel system on. Getting tired of it just sitting there. |
