Yes it's me again. Thanks to everyone who helped me before. It did turn out to be the starter. Put a new one in 2 weeks ago.
Now I really need to find somewhere to take my 1988 IROC Convertible for the best tune-up ever. Live in Gresham, but anywhere in Portland metro area is fine. I'm willing to drive for good workmanship and quality care for my favorite car. Had a tune-up not long ago, but it was not a good one.
Thanks Cindy |

Tune up for these cars pretty much consist of Plugs/Wires/Rotor/Cap.
Where I'm at we like to see a Motorvac done. It's a machine that we run the engine on (instead of your fuel tank). It runs the motor on a special cleaning solution/fuel mix. It cleans the fuel injectors and deposits on the valves and engine. When this is done the throttle body is taken off and thoroughly cleaned. Fuel Filter Included.
Heavier tune ups will add an Ignition coil (I recommend an aftermarket ignition coil since the originals start to lose some spark and even some aftermarket wires like Taylor). Also a new O2 sensor can be a good hit as well as a PCV valve. |
