Pretty nice. The engine was probably a detuned version of the racing engine. NASCAR rules mandate that all the cars run a 358ci motor, but that motor puts out close to 800hp.

A couple of years ago, Denny Hamlin's #11 was in the parking lot of the FedEx hub in Bothell near where I work. It drew quite a crowd.

The most reliable thing on that "race car" is the Camry sticker.

Formula one FTW

Even some of that from what I understand can be changed a hair.

but yea, as the old days of thunder line "hey, there's nothing stock about a stock car."

I thought Mike Wallace was that 80 year old guy that's been doing 60 Minutes since it started.

Is this, maybe a RUSTY Wallace mobile?

There's another younger brother too, Kenny. All racers.

I believe Rusty is retired (or semi-retired), Mike drives in the Nationwide (formerly Busch) Series and Craftsman Trucks, occasionally in the Nextel Cup Series. Kenny drives occasionally in the Nextel and Nationwide Series and is also an on-air personality for "Race Day" on SPEED Channel

At CAT I've seen some pretty neat stuff on demo in our parking lot from race cars to hybrid class 8 trucks. One of my favorites is the autonomous Hummer H1 from DARPA Grand Challenge. It ran a course through our Tech Center playground.

A little known fact: I had a small role on the team and some of my experimental high voltage hardware was used to provide all electrical power for the truck.
