Was there a year where the 2.8L was a map version? If so what's the ECM number? I'd like to find the ECM if so and swap it into the Chevette.

2.8's didn't, 3.1's did. I converted my 89V6 to 91 ECM that is MAP based. I think its a 711 ecm? Not sure. Its the same as the map based V8 cars with a different chip. 91+ 3.x engines are what you should be after.

I've got a '749 with connectors just sitting around if you're looking for one.

can the commander not support the MAP? or do you just want to take a look at a stock BIN file for one before you start changing things?

I got a '730 ecm too, was gonna swap into the 2.8 after talking with blue89 a while back, but never did it. Seemed like a fairly straight forward procedure. Might swap out the '165 in the T/A for the '730...
