Honda motor would be awsome. From what I have read, the Miata stuff works really well too. Toss a turbo with a few PSI on a miata motor, and it would zoom-zoom right along.

				| Will a turbo 2.8L fit in there? Maybe with a vette IRS in the back and some track-t badass front suspension. |

				| 2.8 should fit, its a pretty narrow motor. YOu would have to measure it all out. Vette IRS is heavy, i would try to find a lighter rear setup. |

probably not, I looked into the STi motor stuff, there is a place in Australia that sells the parts to convert the subie AWD tranny to be 2wd. But the boxer motors are really wide. Could mount it in back, and just build something from scratch, lol.

No man, its like $400 for the parts if you are going to use the front axles as the drive axles, I think it is a couple hundred more for parts to covert it to use the rear output. I found a thread on the locost forums about it, and they had info from the company that makes all the parts to do it.

I still say, find a miata and use the rear suspension, engine, tranny, and have fun. The key to the lotus is keeping it as light as possible. Think of it this way, the super7 weights 800# LESS than an Elise. The elise is fast with 170hp. with 800lbs less weight, using the 140hp from a miata would be a heck of a lot of un. Turbo it to 200-250hp, and that thing will sail.
