I thought I would post up as a reminder for today. And also a chance to once again thank all of those who served/serving in our armed forces. Today is another chance to think back about the sacrifice of so many, so we can enjoy the freedoms we have.

i think Carlos Mencia said it well:
"BIG ups to veterans. if you fought in ANY war for this country you are the man. NO ONE has given more for this country then the veterans"
let's not forget our servicemen from up north. Canadians have fough with us in many foreign wars.
thank you all for your service. |

Bringing this back up for another year. It is always a good reminder.

A young man who does not have what it takes to perform military service is not likely to have what it takes to make a living. Today's military rejects include tomorrow's hard-core unemployed.
John F. Kennedy
It is an unfortunate fact that we can secure peace only by preparing for war.
John F. Kennedy
No one has been barred on account of his race from fighting or dying for America, there are no white or colored signs on the foxholes or graveyards of battle.
John F. Kennedy
Big thanks veterans. _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).

I come from a family with a long and proud military history. I myself served 4 years in the army (and an additional 4 years in the reserves). My sister went in before me and later got her comission (she later married an armor officer and resigned her comission). In fact we have a joke in my family that my mom is the only one of us who never qualified with an M-16! I am indeed proud when I think of the veterans in my family and all others who served. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

I'm from a military line myself, though not quite as long. My father, brother and myself all served 20 years in the Submarine Service, and my brother-in-law served 22 years. I'm with you on this one, I'm proud to be a veteran and proud of those who served and still continue to serve. _________________ 92 Camaro

I have much respect for Service Men who are serving, and have served our country.
Although there are lots of younger D-bags that quickly lose that respect when they open their mouths. |
