hey guys, my names ben im from the camas/couve area i been around thirdgens since i was 14 and ive loved them ever since(19 now) my car is a early 1986 Trans am, in flame red metallic, i just stripped the clear and paint off the wheels today and they look so much better, im waiting on my new seat cover set from hawks, i went with black madrid vinyl over my stock red interior. when i bought my current thirdgen, it was in ok shape for $900, and after a little tuning, new plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, and a cd player its getting closer and closer to my dream thirdgen. luckily for me i ran across you guys in someones info on tgo. here are some pictures of my car for you guys, enjoy!

Nice car, hey i'm intrested to hear how those seat covers fit on there, i was tempted to buy the black vinyl covers myself, but after this first heatwave of it hitting triple digits and no a/c i'm going to have to stick with cloth i think

That's a nice looking bird. And I really like those convex wheels for some reason.

really? i cant stand them, i almost didnt buy the car because of them. they are looking better now(currenty they are just stripped planning on respraying the black and reclearcoating) but i still would much rather have either, single vein irocs(i love how they look on t/a's), gold center GTA's, or Polished formula's.

Check out what I did with those wheels. Couldnt decide/afford anything that looked good on a bird. So I bought an old oven and powder coating gun. This is black chrome.

Unless you're planning on going with big brakes I say keep 'em. Drop the car a bit like Brandon's and it'll look good. Those and the crosslace wheels are about the only stock bird wheels I like.
