After installing an adjustable proportioning valve and eliminating the stocker, I've run into problem after problem. Biggest one is trying to get fluid into the right front caliper, I haven't got to the driver's side yet. I had a 4th gen master cylinder and thought that may be marginal (no pressure at the pedal), so I reinstalled the stock master and had much more pedal pressure. Still, I couldn't get fluid to go into the right front. I pulled line off the caliper, and still no fluid flowed out the open end - BLOCKAGE. I disconnected the right front from the tee connection at the master cylinder and pulled a vacuum on the line and disconnected the rubber line from the hard line at the wheel and was rewarded with a hiss, apparently the rubber line had collapsed while I was doing the rear end and proportioning valve job. I'll be replacing both of them to finish this job. Fortunately the car is still up on jack stands when I'm finding this stuff....
Here's what I found after disconnecting the rubber line....

| Stainless? Do yo mean braided? I think I'm going to go with OEM. They'll have to be changed when I upgrade to Ian's C5 brakes if I'm not mistaken. |

Ya, braided. Lol, sorry.
I think I paid $30 for OE. And the left was more expensive than the right for some reason. |

| Check with Ian. Thirdgen braided work fine with the 13" C4HD setup. |

| I'm running braided lines for a thirdgen on both my c5's and c6's. Switch to the braided if readily available. |

| I'd assume the "performance" ones are talking about 1le lines which are actually a bit longer if I remember right. I just got the regular ones. |

Regular ones worked for me, the C4HD Caliper is almost identical to the 1LE.
Think I got the russell lines. |

Got the new lines yesterday and attached one of them to the passenger side (the faulty side). I haven't tightened it down yet, I still need new crush washers for the banjo bolt. The fit is pretty good. Never seeing these before, I thought the braid would be the outside layer, but it appears to be a clear vinyl sheath over the braid, looks great. Hope they function even better.
