My Dad's '84 Chevy with a stock 350 is due for an oil change. In the past we just ran Baxter's 10W40 with a bottle of STP blue. Should we switch from STP to anything with more zinc, or does it matter for a stock cam with 256K on it?
Thanks. |

| Stock cam should be fine. Most additives wont do anything for you. Unless its a cam break in additive. If you're worried about the zinc levels though, maybe switch to 15w40 delo or shell rotella. |
