well, the homage paid to the original KITT was subtle, but there... though they pan out from a TPI unit, you see basically a shadowy outline of it, and there was one or two random questions about the Firebird...
sadly, that was about it.
The rest of the show was about on par for todays sub-par acting, and kept the somewhat campy feel from the original going strong
for what it was, not too bad... I have to admit, I was much more interested in it than I was any other knight rider follow up, and as far as new shows are concerned, it looks to hold my interest, whereas the Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, can basically just go kiss my fat pale ass
Mustang ... ehh, it is what it is I guess... Ford obviously paid a shitton of money to be in the show, so I'll accept it for now...
Kitt's new features? so far, I like where it's going... can camoflauge itself, seems nearly indestructable for high impact, bullets, etc assuming the computer is actually on...
needs better exhaust tones though, but thats just me.
thats my two pennies, if you don't like it, stuff it |

| I honestly didn't watch the first hour of it since IMHO reruns of Family Guy and American Dad are far better, but the last have was pretty lousy, and basicly amounted to a really long Ford commercial. |

Actually, I watched it with the same sense of expectation and "WOW!" that I watched the original.
That is to say, I never watched it. _________________ "Are you guys ready? Let's roll."

I dunno if I should claim starting it or what...
I actually had that pointed out to me by my girlfriend who saw previews for it when watching "her shows" on NBC last monday.
She just thought I'd like the whole car aspect and whatnot.
She didn't even know it was a TV show in the 80's until I explained that to her and the whole third gen thing, and yeah....after that she decided I shouldn't watch it.. _________________

But I have to admit it's pretty funny that you're actually embarrased! |

I like it. One of those retardedly bad shows that kills time. Car was cool, no 82 TA. And definitely no Mr Feeny. For some reason Val Kilmer just makes a weird KITT to me.[/b] _________________

| Agreed. Val Kilmer just doen't make KITT. In the original, William Daniels suited the part much better. |

I had only heard references to the original knight rider, till we started ordering the season disks from Netflix. The original is really good, but I kept expecting Kitt to say "Mr Mathews"
My mother, who has previously owned a 67 firebird (It was a six, dont wet yourself yet) watched Knight Rider back in the day convinced me to watch the new one.
It was actually really good, though, your talking to a kid who was born into the age of crappy TV. |
