I'm having trouble setting up TunerPro again. Does anyone make an idiots guide?

I'm trying to get my Xtreme ALDL to talk to the software and it won't do it. What com port, speed, parity, and ect do I need to have it set to?

I've plugged the ALDL in without the car. The computer tells me its ComPort 10. I moved it down to an unused port, #2. I then told TunerPro it was on #2 from preferences. Using the "Test for Valid Cable Using Setting" button I get "Cable Not Found or Not Functioning (8192 baud)."

Thats all I had to do was tell the program what com port it was on.

Confusing part, every time I used it after that it had to be plugged into that EXACT usb port to work. DOH

I just don't get it. Device Maneger tells me that its plugged into Com2 and thats what I set the TunerPro to. Is there a baud rate I need to set it to?

I know the TPI's and V6's use the 8192. I think the TBI's used 160??

I dunno what the LT runs. I would assume 8192

Dude! I made sure the ports were the same and I hooked it up even though it said the "hardware not detected". IT WORKED! So I got my codes and could monitor the engine parameters with TunerPro! I'm stoked. I appear to be working, but I'll note if anything isn't working.
