OBD0? What's that? (I've only seen OBD0 in reference to old Hondas)
Do you mean OBDI->OBDII? If so, no, they're not quite wired the same. Google search on "OBDI pinout" "OBD1 pinout" "OBDII pinout" "OBD2 pinout" etc.
Also, consult the manuals for the respective vehicles. They should contain the pinouts. |

I solved my initial problem. I couldn't find the schematics for the 94 LT1 PCM so I referenced a 95 LT1. The 95 is obdII which has the 16 pin. My initial problem. The PCM pinouts are the same between the 95 and 94, and the 94 has the same ALDL as the 89-92, so I wired the pins from the ALDL to the appropriate PCM wires and the colors matched up with the ALDL port I snatched from the 94 dash I had.
So I think I have my problem solved. Its wired up at least. I'll hook up the computer sometime tonight to see if its live.
My understanding of all the ECM-PCM stuff is:
8x-92 is the non-standard com (OBD0) '732 ECM
93 LT1 camaro's also ran the 8x-92 '732 ECM with the old 700r4
94 LT1 run the new PCM (not obdII, but referenced as obdI) with the introduction of the 4L60E
95 LT1 ran the PCM and was the first year of obdII compliance.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. That should be the jist of it though. |

| Ah. I didn't realize you were talking about going from an OBDI connector to an OBDII connector, but keeping the OBDI ECM. With the info in your last post, things make much more sense. |

Sorry about that. Sometimes it take me a bit to get the info from my brain out.
When I did my 94LT1 swap in my 89rs, I didn't wire up the ALDL port. Now that I have engine problems, I need to get it in there so I can pull codes and watch stuff. And since I don't have a schematic for the 94LT1, I wanted to know if the 89 ALDL pinout would work. Which they do.
Now I have to find all the software and get it configured. Ugh. I wish it were easier to do this stuff. Once your rolling everything is golden. But learning what com port speeds, bins, and hacks you need is frustrating for me. I think I'm going to try TunerPro RT, I think it can flash the PCM and give me datalogging, right? |

| It can't flash the PCM (for that you'll need Winflash), but it can tune. Data monitoring/logging is sketchy, but works great in ScannerPro (www.scannerpro.net). |

I don't follow.
TunerPro RT - Datalog maybe
ScannerPro - Datalog/Bin
WinFlash - flash the PCM
Is this right? I just got the usb-ALDL adapter from moates in the mail. Very excited to get going on it. |
