Was looking at the coil over kit sphon offers. Wondering if these offered any benifits over the stock style set up. Any ideas on much weight reduction you would get with the coil overs and tubular a arms. If you did get tubular a arms should you get rod ends, or the rubber ends.
What kind of spring rates do the strock iroc springs have? The sphon spring rates for road racing are 325-350#, would the hardest spring rate be the best for handling? They also offer rates up to 600# what would be a good rate to choose. |

I personaly don't like his or any other of the coil over designs. Those strut towers are just sheet metal, they weren't designed to support the entire weight of the car.
If you are going this route, the spring rates are going to be diffrent. The IROC springs are something like 630#, BUT, they sit really far inboard, so the motion ration changes. I can calculate out the actualy wheel rate for you, that will help you pick coil over rate you need, it is going to be a lower rate, because they are mounted so much further outboard on the a-arm.
