Arghhh!!

Still one day left too. Mad

Tuesday I had a U joint go bad on my truck. Aparently it got very hot and weakened the yoke on the output of the front rear end. (The rear diff does all work and the front does nothing unless you flip a switch to make it drive too. The front has a driveline going in the front and one coming off of the back.) So anyhow I know I have a U joint going bad because I'm getting a vibration, but didn't know it was as bad as it was. I get almost to the top of a hill and have to downshift one more time and as soon as I put the power to it BOOM. Breaks the driveshaft at the front yoke. This driveshaft is only 24" long but weighs about 50 lbs. At 25 - 30 mph it turns into a freakin huge hammer under there and rips apart brake lines and also destroyed both if the airbags for the suspension on the front drive axle. I'll have to get some good carnage pics.

Yesterday I spent all day fixxing it so I could work this morning and finally got her done about 9 pm.

Today on the first load of gravel I got nailed by the O.D.O.T guys and a sneaky set of scales. Got a ticket for the truck being 2300lbs overweight.

Plus little Wingnut the duck that alot of you met Labor day got killed by the two adult ducks yesterday.

I can't get a freakin break this week. Confused

Sad That's super shitty about wingnut...did mitsy, ditsy or Joe get any punishment?

Plus the truck thing doesn't help......My buddy rob has had a crappy week also. Wife's car's motor siezed about a month ago, and today while we were on the way to lunch, the motor I think tossed a ring, because he was burning oil like crazy and had almost no power whatsoever.

I just hope my good luck continues....

Yeah! And its still going!! Won't idle worth a crap and it makes the same "clackity-clack" sound all the time. Won't idle for more than a few seconds at a stop light without holding the rpm's around 1500, and stalls or nearly stalls when I step on the brakes real hard, or throttle hard and let off.

Yeah, I'll send her to rest by doing one final burnout on the space saver and one of my bald tires, probably in my driveway, so I can push it back into the garage when it seizes.

Burnout Burnout Rock on!

Well, Dr. Hardcore, here are the symptoms, I'll let you diagnose:

Doesn't like to idle unless you have a foot on the gas
Stalls on Decelleration after hard throttle blasts
makes a "Clackity-Clack" sound like I have a massive Exhaust leak
Smokes like crazy out the breather and Eats nearly a quart of oil every 60 miles.
